Personalized Vision Statement

a vision statement with photos and information about Jillian who has Down syndrome

“Personalized Vision Statements” are a great way to introduce your child to anyone who is working with them. The statements provide information that may be challenging for your child, or even yourself to convey to an educator in the rush, excitement, and craziness that is the beginning of the school year. Each August I update this template for my two youngest children to help everyone involved, myself included, start off on the right foot.

*Be sure to save previous  statements as a pleasant reminder of the growth your child has made in earlier years.

How to use your new "Vision Statement Template"

Changing Text: Highlight the text and replace it with your words.

Changing Photos: Right click on the photo. Click on “Change Picture”. Click on “From File” and replace photo. You will probably need to resize the photo.

Vision Statement: Write about your goals for your child both for the present and for their future.

What Works for Me: Write about the things that help your child to be successful.
