I am blessed to have two sisters born with Down syndrome, one is older than me and one is younger. Growing up with my sisters was the greatest gift because I have always had the best-best friends anyone could ask for. These two have always been the perfect examples of how to truly live life. I’ve never known a world without Down syndrome and I wouldn’t want it any other way.
I also have a passion for musical theater and performing, having been involved in the theater for over 15 years and have had the pleasure to be the Director of Park Avenue Theater for over two years now. Park Avenue Theater is a ministry of Trinity Presbyterian Church, where we are blessed to teach children theater skills in a loving, safe and encouraging environment. We are so excited to expand that mission to kids of ALL abilities with our inclusive eight-week program, “Applause”!
Finally, I can combine two of my passions and bring my little sister to the stage, where she belongs. Alongside her friends and peers to experience the beauty of theater together!
