Out of millions of people, God chose me. Not just to exist, but to be me. Loud, stubborn, sometimes insecure me. And He chose you too. 💛
He didn’t make me a copy. He made me Cindy: strong-willed, often loud, a little impatient, sometimes insecure, creative, smart, innately kind, and yes — occasionally funny. “I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:14).
But He didn’t stop at me. He made Dianne, Linnette, Susan, Kelly, Jodi, Kim, Hayden, Hannah, Kolsen, Rob, Becky, Debbie, Dani… and so many more to walk beside me. He made Kevin to care for my heart. He made Eric, Emily, and Jillian through me, and He brought Angel, Allie, Joe, Ben, Brooklynn, Karsten, and Cooper into our family too.
Some days I feel very alone — even in a full house. And that’s exactly where the enemy wants me to stay. But Jesus said, “I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me” (John 10:14). God’s design is the opposite of loneliness. He’s given me an intentional, messy, beautiful community and a Shepherd who tends me with personal care.
If you’re walking a path that feels lonely today, please remember: you were chosen. You are seen. You are surrounded — by people, by purpose, and by a God who knows how to weave a scattered life into something purposeful and good. Even if no one else is beside you in this moment, He is. Always.
Who has God placed beside you on the road lately? Tell me one name — let’s celebrate the people He’s given us. 🌿✨

Lovely Cindy. I love that you used the friends of Kevin to highlight this story.
It was a special day. Kevin really saw a portion of who was willing to walk with him through this time in his life.
