Chosen From a Flock of Millions

Sharing is caring!

A large group of people, wearing matching gray T-shirts, gather for a group photo in an outdoor courtyard with string lights overhead and buildings in the background. Some are sitting, others are standing.

To be chosen from a flock of millions by the Great Shepherd, the One who created us as individuals, with minds of our own, is something I am in awe of.

On top of my strand of DNA being carefully pieced together, my Shepherd has laid a path with many different forks to choose from. He did not make me a mindless drone whose only goal is to worship the Creator.

He made me, Cindy, strong-willed,  often loud, a bit impatient, somewhat insecure, creative, smart, innately kind, sometimes funny, Cindy.

Yet, He didn’t stop there. He made Dianne, Linnette, Susan, Kelly, Jodi, Kim, Hayden, Hannah, Kolsen, Rob, Becky, Debbie, Dani, and countless others to come up beside me.

He also made Kevin, to take care of my heart and cherish me. He made Eric, Emily, and Jillian  through me and brought Angel, Allie, Joe, Ben, Brooklynn, Karsten, and Cooper to me.

At times, I feel very alone. That is where the enemy wants me to be.

God, though, wants me to feel supported and surrounded by His intentional community as well as feel intimately cared for by the one who manifested my life.

Lovely Cindy. I love that you used the friends of Kevin to highlight this story.

It was a special day. Kevin really saw a portion of who was willing to walk with him through this time in his life.
