Surrender

One of the many times this boy was in the hospital and he had Mom all to himself.

My desire to please the Lord is steadfast.

I so want to give every single concern I have over to Him. I want to seek Him, confide in Him, hear from Him, follow Him, and rest in Him. For the most part, I do just that.

There are seasons when life gets moving too quickly.

Just living my day is a white knuckle ride. My grip begins to tighten, not because of a lack of faith but because of a primal feeling of getting lost in the chaos.

Emotions rise up and the feeling that life is in the midst of whisking me away, give me the urge to control, to swim against the current, to exhaust myself in a whirlpool of worries.

Surrendering to my faith in God can be scary in times like that.

Losening my grip and accepting God’s purpose is what is needed to regain control though.

His plan brings me His strength, His peace, and His rest.

As I begin to let go, my ability to surrender gets stronger in turn it becomes easier to to trust during those times of adversity, and be at ease on the path God has me on.
